This third volume of the Catalogo Generale, first published in 2016, features 451 works by Giorgio de Chirico dating from 1913 to 1976. This now brings the total number of artworks published in the catalogue to 1379. This volume includes paintings, watercolors, and drawings, with an emphasis on his wide-ranging work for the theater as a set and costume designer. All the works have been authenticated by the Fondazione Giorgio e Isa de Chirico, and were not included in the multi-volume catalogue raisonné published by Claudio Bruni Sakraischik between 1971 and 1987. Many of these works are little-known or totally unknown, thus making a substantial contribution to scholarship about the artist's oeuvre. This volume includes an introductory essay by Maurizio Calvesi, a foreword by Paolo Picozza, President of Fondazione Giorgio e Isa de Chirico, a poem in prose by Giorgio de Chirico, Painting (1938), a brief biography on the artist, and a summary of the Foundation's activity.
