When we talk about the greatest pitchers of today’s generation, we cannot go through the list without putting Clayton Kershaw near or at the very top of the list. The Los Angeles Dodgers superstar has dominated on the mound and already achieved milestones that only a few of the greatest pitchers in the game have ever accomplished. Now in his 14th season in 2021, the 32-year-old southpaw ace is one of the fastest to record 2,500 strikeouts. Only Nolan Ryan and Walter Johnson did it at a younger age. Kershaw is one of only five pitchers in baseball today with 2,500 strikeouts, standing alongside Cole Hamels, Justin Verlander, Max Scherzer, and Zack Greinke. Kershaw has a lifetime 2.42 ERA, which presently stands at No. 37 all-time. Among active pitchers, he is fourth in total wins with 181, but the three players above him are much older (Verlander 38, Greinke 37, Lester 37). Kershaw is already an 8-time All-Star, a 3-time Cy Young Award winner, a National League MVP, a 3-time wins leader, a 5-time ERA winner, and a 3-time strikeout leader.
