On 6/20/2023, Amazon/KDP increased the printing cost of the FERSGUIDE by $1.20 per copy. As a result, I raised the price of the FERSGUIDE by $1 and I am "eating" the additional twenty cents.

This is the correct version if you are a Law Enforcement Officer, Firefighter, Customs and Border Protection Officer, Border Patrol Agent, Air Traffic Controller or other Special Category Employee or Annuitant covered by the special provisions of FERS. If you are not in one of those positions, then you should be purchasing the FERSGUIDE for Regular Employees (red cover).

Consider purchasing the Kindle version instead of the paperback, as there are 155 hyperlinks to additional content and it’s less expensive and delivered immediately. The 2023 Kindle edition is new for 2023, so please refer to the paperback FERSGUIDE for the user reviews.

This book is designed for both employees and annuitants, with 40 pages dedicated just to Social Security and Medicare. Those 40 pages alone are one of the best Social Security and Medicare guides out there.

The FERSGUIDE is authored by Dan Jamison, CPA. Dan Jamison is a nationally recognized subject-matter expert on retirement benefits for federal employees and annuitants. Dan has been a CPA for over 30 years and holds active licenses in good standing in Virginia and Florida.

Dan holds a Master’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Florida and earned his undergraduate accounting degree there as well. Dan retired from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in 2013 after 21 years as a Special Agent Accountant.

Dan started writing the FERSGUIDE over 25 years ago. Dan updates the FERSGUIDE annually in December with new content and updated figures.
