Texas Too was made twenty years later by the next generation. This book tells the story of these two quilts and the families that made them; how they became separated and then how they were reunited a world away.

Signature quilts are remarkable in the world of antique quilts. Very popular from the mid 1800s through to the 1940s, community groups gathered together to make these special quilts. Each person made one quilt block, signed and perhaps dated it, then added it to the other blocks. The quilt top was sewn together and quilted by the group. The finished quilt was then presented to a special person, given to a family moving away to the west, or even raffled as a fund-raiser. Today the names on these quilts can be traced and a 'family tree' created to give us a picture of times gone by.
