Yes. This this exact book Josh read from in the episode. His was a prepublication copy, hence the grey “Not For Resale” watermark on the front cover. Besides that, this is exactly the same.

We started making episodes and soon discovered that we had a sensation on our hands, a masterpiece that was born out of my perfect friendship with Ollie. It was also important that we maintained our friendship, as we would be appearing together on ‘JOLLY’ as friends, whereas in ‘Korean Englishman’ Ollie was only the videographer. It’s like I always say, friendship is like a garden, plant carrots and you’ll get carrots, plant potatoes and you’ll get potatoes, plant erroneous information in a Wikipedia page and it’ll eventually make it into a book, meaning said erroneous information on Wikipedia can now be cited, which is how rumours start.

About the author

Joshua Daryl Carrott was born in 1988 and raised in Caterham, Southern England, and then Qingdao, China. It was at international school in Qingdao that he developed a love for Korea, having been befriended by fellow Korean students. He is married to Gabie Kook, and they live in London with their adorable dog, Brie. Josh spends most of his time making silly videos with his best friend and first love, Ollie Kendal.
