The most recent camera that fits that description is the Canon EOS Rebel T3/1100D. This is a great camera for anyone who wants to make the move from a compact point-and-shoot to a full-featured digital SLR camera.

The EOS T3/1100D makes the transition to a digital SLR virtually painless with the simplified layout of controls on the back and top of the camera. Starting with the Mode dial, new Rebel photographers can choose to have the camera make almost all of the exposure decisions by choosing a scene, or automatic, mode such as Portrait, Landscape, or Sports mode. Alternately, they can take a bit more control using Creative Auto mode where they can adjust the background blur or sharpness setting, as well as selected other camera settings.
